Motion graphics developed for Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) tribute to Vinícius Jr. roots.
The roots of Afro-Brazilians were erased, stripping away names, histories, and the chance to feel pride in where they came from.
With that in mind, Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) partnered with African Ancestry to run a DNA test on the best player in the world, Vini Jr. Uncovering his lineage in the Tikar tribe of Cameroon.
CBF tailored a case study to show that process to the world. They trusted me to develop some of the motion graphics and color grading.
As an afro-brazilian myself also with erased roots - and also from Salvador, the city where this campaign was launched and Vini Jr. got his certificate - this was an absolutely unique project for me.
